Sheila Sundar’s writing has appeared in Guernica, the Rumpus, the New York Times, the Bookends Review, and elsewhere. She has received awards and recognition from Glimmer Train, the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. She is currently writing her first novel, set in 1960 South India.
Sheila is a former history teacher and founder of the Southern History Project. She lives in New Orleans with her partner and three children.
